But it wasn’t always like this way for me.

During my career as a psychotherapist I became certified as a behaviour therapist, a psychodrama therapist and a psychoanalyst. However, when I completed the last certification I felt tense, stuck and depressed. I thought “Now I have to listen to problems for the rest of my life.”

Then, when my third child turned seven my whole world fell apart.

I took care of my sick mother until she died, a business with a friend failed and I got divorced. I become a single mom to three kids. And on top of this, my clients relied on me to help them.

I was close to burn out.

I felt responsible for everything, I was caring for everybody and at the same time I felt the pressure to provide positive energy, lightness and love to my children and my clients.

I knew I had to work, to earn money to support my children, but my body, mind and spirit rebelled against the old way.

The important question I asked myself was “How will I have more fun, fulfillment, energy and creativity in my old job?”
I wrote what I didn’t want to be any more…over caring, over responsible, overwhelmed with problems, focused on symptoms and surrounded by negativity.

Instead, I wrote what I needed… joy, creativity, client responsibility, space, success, enthusiasm, inner freedom, vision, community, network, creativity and positive impact.

This was my turning point for integrating the healing exercises, stories and imaginations from all around the world that I had been studying for the past 30 years.

This was how the Self-Healing by Embody-Mental Imagination (SHEMI) process was born.

I combined my knowledge, experience and skills and modern research of behavior therapy (embody-mental therapy) with playfulness, spontaneity and creativity (psychodrama) in order to create a structured process. I combined it with the deep wisdom of the archetypes of Jungian Psychology.

For almost a decade I’ve trained SHEMI to groups of 10 to 20 clients almost each day, with physical or psychic symptoms. The results have been rewarding.

1. What if I get stuck with the course or have trouble with my clients? Can I get help? 
You have two emergency phone calls to use anytime. And you will get ongoing support and guidance from myself, my team and the SHEMI community through our Private Facebook group.

2. What clients are best for groups?
I don’t recommend including people with strong dependencies, like alcoholics or psychiatric disorders.

I suggest including people with depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosomatic diseases, burnout, physical accidents, social problems.

The main criteria is that they really want to get well, are willing to use SHEMI in their daily habits.

3. What if healing doesn’t happen? 
There is no guarantee for complete healing. SHEMI is an integral transformational approach to inspire the deep natural powers of the self-healing process.

Sometimes healing will happen within a session. Sometimes it takes years to cure a disease.

Other times it will help people live with a disease in a more fulfilled way, with less pain, discomfort and suffering.

One key element of SHEMI is that your clients take 100 percent responsibility. If your clients strictly follow the program and the regularly practice, then improvement and success will happen.

4. How will I get sufficient clients?
You’ll receive “ready-to-use” marketing materials, such as flyers, letters and email templates.

13. My clients are very busy and won’t have much time for ongoing learning.

The daily webinars are only 15 to 20 minutes long. Your clients can learn on the go, wherever they are – in the gym, the car, at home, or in the office.

14. How much time will I need devote to the certification program?
An average of 30 minutes to 1 hour daily over the year. There will be times when this will be more or less intense depending on your prerequisites and specific interests. The program has breaks where can catch up on any missed webinars.

In addition, you will attend two intensive four-day live seminars, as well as write your certification Masters Thesis, which can take between 5 and 10 working days.
